Was so sorry to hear of Dick's death. He was always coming to our house to visit with Jim and I. I enjoyed his visits immensely and will miss him greatly. He always seemed to have some memory to share, regarding Jim Senior and all their friends. You have my heartfelt sympathy. We did not know Dick very well, but we do remember his cheerful smile every time we met him on the road. It was always such a joy to see his friendly wave. We also appreciated his dedication to the upkeep of our neighborhood. He will be missed. We wish the Nickel family peace and love during this time.

I worked with Dick in the mill he was a awesome man to work for. I alway loved being on his shift. He watched My dad Harold Hamblen play baseball in high school. The last time I seen Dick was at a camas wrestling match we sat together and talked. Dick will be greatly missed He will always be in our hearts and in our memories.
