My good friend Kelly Goold has kept me posted on the health of Uncle Dean-O. I know Uncle Dean-O from when I was a little girl and had lost touch since. Malosi is my cousin, I am Aunty Robin's niece Kelly gave me a call early in the morning and gave me the sad news. You all do not know me and I you. I can only imagine how difficult this must have been for all of you. You all must feel blessed for the time that you spent with Uncle Dean-O and he too must have felt blessed to have you all in his lives. "Words, however kind, can't mend your heartache; but those who care and share your loss wish you comfort and peace of mind. May you find strength in the love of family and in the warm embrace of friends." Deepest Sympathy, Loki Meleana Roque

To the Stegehuis Family, Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this difficult time. I remember being in the way alot because I was too little for Leroy and Dino and Diana and Ramona, but I managed somehow as I grew older we all connected dancing hula. Those were fun times at Keauhou Beach with Uncle Liko, Kelly as our "light man", those are unforgotten times. Even though Uncle Liko was a yeller and he cheated us, we all knew we couldn't be at a better place at that age. We all had it good! I educate my kids daily on all the good that comes out from being around wholesome people, i cannot stress that enough. Although, we all went seperate ways, Alii Kai is still my home. Old as it seems, to me it was just the other day we were young and growing up there. So, for the family now, help and keep watch over each other. May our loving creator continue to provide all the love and encouragement that this family needs at this time. Love and Aloha, Aileen Correa and family

There is no words to say when you loose someone dear to except am sorry. I remember a scripture that me,and Dino used to talk about and its in Rev.21:4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore! The former things have passed away.Tell Banana and Jr aloha and once again my condolence to all of you.

Aloha Family, (from the Bigisland) I send you ALL my love and big hugs. I was so sad when i heard the news. I will always remember his strong hugs, i was littler then, but when he would give me hugs he would pick me up off the ground. He made me feel light as a feather and his voice so big and deep. Once the whole family came for a birthday at Hapuna's he sat by me and said " Look at our family, boy, we all good looking yah". Well Uncle Dino was very handsome and so are all of his children and grandkid's. I pray that the Lord will shower you with love and May God hold you ALL in His arms and comfort you. Aloha folks. I'm leroy, so sad to hear of dino's passing. I haven't seen Dino since trojan lumber days around mid 80's. Never forgot about him though. Raised with dino within the subdivision. Played baseball, built a good sized fort in the property next to his house. Just hung out with all of his pigeons. Rode our bikes within the subdivision with the rest of our buddies. Dino and i just made 48 in june. So young but the lord has a place for humble men. This lefty and all of his family has been good to me and my family. Dino has been a good friend. From this picture, doesn't seem like he aged. He looks the same and top shape. To the family, I wish you all the best, take care of each other and god bless to all. Alohas, Leroy

Today is the start of our Class of '78 reunion, I was thinking of classmates just last week, looking forward to seeing a lot of them and Dino was one that came to mind.
