Obituary of Willis Kelly

Willis Kelly died on Sunday, February 13, 2005 at home, at the age of 64. Willis was born on August 3, 1940 in Broadus, Montana and was formerly a resident of Miles City, Montana.. A Camas resident since 1979, at the age of 15-16 he jockeyed horses at Portland Meadows Racing Track. A member of the 701 Union, Willis loved his work as a welder, and also worked in the North Slope Camps. Willis is survived by his wife; Kristine Kelly at home. He is also survived by his daughter; Anne Francis Kelly-Richards, of Seattle, Washington; and his son; Willis "Billy" W. Kelly Jr. of Sedro Woolly, Washington; his sister; Margie Rockwell, of Yuba City, California; and four brothers; John Kelly of Billings, Montana; Earl Kelly of Great Falls, Montana; Father Frank Kelly of Great Falls, Montana; and Glen Kelly of Waldport, Oregon; and four grandsons. He was preceded in death by his brother; Robert R. Kelly and his half-brother; Jay Ryerson. There will be a Graveside Service at Fern Prairie Cemetery on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 2:00 PM. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 from 9:00AM-5:00 PM, Thursday, February 17, 2005 from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM, and Friday, February 18, 2005 from 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM at Brown's Funeral Home. Kelly's request: friends and family attend the service wearing casual attire: i.e. jeans-carhartts workwear. Donations may be made in Willis' memory to the American Lung Association: 223 Tacoma Avenue South Tacoma, WA 98402-2513 Brown's Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
