Willis Kelly died on Sunday, February 13, 2005 at home, at the age of 64. Willis was born on August 3, 1940 in Broadus, Montana and was formerly a resident of Miles City, Montana.. A Camas resident since 1979, at the age of 15-16 he jockeyed horses at Portland Meadows Racing Track. A member of the 701 Union, Willis loved his work as a welder, and also worked in the North Slope Camps. Willis is survived by his wife; Kristine Kelly at home. He is also survived by his daughter; Anne Francis Kelly-Richards, of Seattle, Washington; and his son; Willis "Billy" W. Kelly Jr. of Sedro Woolly, Washington; his sister; Margie Rockwell, of Yuba City, California; and four brothers; John Kelly of Billings, Montana; Earl Kelly of Great Falls, Montana; Father Frank Kelly of Great Falls, Montana; and Glen Kelly of Waldport, Oregon; and four grandsons. He was preceded in death by his brother; Robert R. Kelly and his half-brother; Jay Ryerson. There will be a Graveside Service at Fern Prairie Cemetery on Friday, February 18, 2005 at 2:00 PM. Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 16, 2005 from 9:00AM-5:00 PM, Thursday, February 17, 2005 from 9:00 AM-8:00 PM, and Friday, February 18, 2005 from 9:00 AM- 12:00 PM at Brown's Funeral Home. Kelly's request: friends and family attend the service wearing casual attire: i.e. jeans-carhartts workwear.
