Vivian Mae Hoffman passed away on Saturday, May 14, 2005 in Vancouver. She was 81 years old.
Born on October 29, 1923, Vivian was a 57 year resident of Clark County, and lived in her home for the last 53 years. She worked as a welder during World War II before becoming a homemaker. Vivian enjoyed traveling, gardening, quilting, sewing, crafting, cooking, baking, and camping. She also was a member of the Jazz Society of Milwaukie, OR, and loved going to Dixieland Festivals. Vivian loved her family and grandchildren, and loved going huckleberry picking with them.
Vivian is survived by her three sons; Victor Hoffman of Vancouver, Ron Hoffman of Battle Ground, and Larry Hoffman of Beaverton, OR, her two daughters; Sandra Vannice of Kent, WA, and Jacqueline Hoffman of Washougal, and her three brothers; Wayne Lawyer, Earnest Lawyer, and Dan Lawyer, all from California. Vivian also leaves behind her four grandchildren; Mary Hoffman, Kristin Vannice, Tamara Vannice, and Dale Hoffman. She was preceded in death by her husband; Dale M. Hoffman (2004), and two sisters; Dorothy Hoolham (1999), and Margaret Hamilton (1970).
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2005 at 11:00 am at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Inurnment will be held at Willamette National Cemetery in Portland, OR at a later date. Memorials may be sent in Vivian's name to the Northwest Kidney Foundation:
