Leroy Boardman passed away on July 30, 2005 in Vancouver, WA at the age of 88. Born and raised in Oakland, CA, Leroy was a former 32 year Creswell, Oregon resident, before spending the last 1 ½ years in Clark County.
He worked as a bus driver for AC Transit Company before retiring, and attended the Creswell Christian Center. Leroy enjoyed camping, fishing, boating, water skiing, golf, bowling, playing the guitar, organ, trumpet, trombone, and piano. He was also a member of Emerald Valley Golf Course and numerous marinas. Most of all, Leroy loved his family and God.
Leroy is survived by his five sons; Arthur of Olympia, Washington, Steve of Eureka, California, Paul of Danville, California, Robert of Camas, and Richard Boardman of Vancouver. He is blessed to leave behind 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years Martha Boardman (2004) and his brother Joseph Boardman.
A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, August 5th at 1:30 p.m. at Brown's Funeral Home in Camas. Viewing will be held before the service from 9:00 am- 12:00 pm at Brown's Funeral Home. Interment will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Vancouver.
Memorials in Leroy's honor may be made to the American Heart Association: 1200 NW Naito Parkway Suite 220, Portland, OR 97209. Brown's Funeral Home in Camas has been entrusted with arrangements.
